I only had the pleasure of meeting Linda twice, first at the wedding of Debs and John and secondly when she came with Bob, Debs John and Hattie for Christmas day lunch at my house. A lovely lady she was, when she left my house I promised her I would look after Debs which I will xxx Debs bought me a lovely black cat wall hanging yesterday from Linda's house it will take pride of place in my sewing room which she admired when she visited. May you rest in peace x

    Greetings

I have known Linda since the early 1960's as her Sister Eileen was my best friend both at school and outside school. We all spent many hours chatting and often going out together over the years. last saw Linda just before Christmas and spoke to her via telephone at the end of February. I am terribly saddened by her sudden death and will always hold fond memories of our lives together. RIP Linda, until we meet again .xxxx

When my dad first told me he was going on a date he seemed over the moon. When I asked him how it went, he had been stood up, he was furious..... turns out both my dad and Linda had got confused about the day they were meant to meet and both thought they had been stood up, they went on the wrong days!!
After then, they were inseperable. They did everything together, even the crosswords on rainy days. When I would ask my dad what he had planned for the days ahead, his reply would always be the same. Take Linda to the hairdresssers, take Linda dancing, go out with Linda on a weekend to chap club, take Linda shopping, she even managed to get him to Meadowhall!!!
Linda was an amazing companion for my dad in the 15 or so years they were together, and she will leave a very big hole in his life......
I just want to thank her for making my dad so happy in the time they were together and that she will be very dearly missed by us all.

    Rest in peace xx
