So sad to hear of the passing of my good mate Paul Gannon. We had some great times in London and when you visited us in Mayo. Condolences to Terry Margaret and Maggie. Rest in Peace my friend. James and Lorraine McCormack

So sad to hear of Pauls passing and my sympathies with Terry, Margaret, Maggie and family. Our family friendship goes back to our mom and dad Micheal and Evelyn Maloney. We have very fond memories of their visits to Mayo and Paul continued this friendship through our lives in London and Mayo. The craic was always mighty with plenty of laughs had. So sorry we cant all be there at this difficult time a few beers would be had tonight to celebrate his life but in time we will gather in Cornboy church for a mass and after to raise a glass in his memory. Rest In Peace love Ann

Paul, you arrived into my car a stranger and before you got out we were friends. Some fantastic memories were made from Willies to the Gresham and back to Dennys. God Bless Fella.

Paul will be remembered at the 10am mass on Friday, 22nd of May, in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet, which can be viewed on webcam at churchtv.ie

It was such a shock to hear of the untimely death of our friend . Paul lived in London and new York with us. We had so many good times. Back then. When things get back to normal we will meet up with the London gang and have a drink on you. We will laugh and cry remembering you my friend. Rest in peace Paul.

Paul was an amazing guy. I loved spending time with him. I will always remember his laugh. Much love

Condolences to Terry, Margaret and Maggie on the death of Paul. I too have many memories of Paul and always found him very gentle and great craic. I remember family holidays in Cornboy. I also remember meeting him in Sheffield. I also remember travelling with him to Hilltown,Newry. It was my first time driving in the North and had a great few days. Rest in peace Paul, gone too soon

Paul was my (second) cousin and my first friend as we were the same age. There is the sweetest black & white photo of us holding hands outside church at Little Margaret (Maggies) baptism, my parents (Michael & Rosemary) and his proudly looking on. Terry, Margaret, Paul and Margaret were a hugely significant part of my growing up and time spent with them was always memorable and precious. Living as we both did in Sheffield (though there were the years when the other Gannons moved to Morley before returning!) they were our closest relatives. Looking at the photo of middle aged Paul I see the cheeky face and happy personality of the child and young man I knew best. My heartfelt condolences to his family, I will be praying for you all on Friday.

We are so sad to hear of Pauls passing. Our sincere condolences to his Mam & Dad, his sister Margeret and her family. My first memories of Paul is of him coming home to holiday in Cornboy with his Mam & Dad and Margaret. He loved going fishing and meeting up with the neighbours for the craic. When we lived in Cricklewood Paul stayed with us for a while. There was never a dull moment when Paul was around as he was always up to some mischief and loved to play tricks on others. He had such a hearty laugh and was always smiling. Our last meeting with Paul was when he visited us in Glengad. When dropping him at the airport he spoke very fondly of Mayo and was already looking forward to his next visit. Paul was an absolute gentleman with a heart of gold. He will be sadly missed and we will treasure all the lovely memories he has left behind. May he Rest in Peace

So sad and hard to comprehend that Paul has passed and that we won't catch up again, we were all part of the same social gang of friends in the late Eighties in Cricklewood, they were great fun times and Paul was always the life and soul of the parties, fair play to him. We had the pleasure of having him as best man at our weeding, In 1992 Maggie and I went to New York for a few months, Paul was there at the time and he came up trumps again with some great contacts to get me work,There was serious sessions there too when Mayo were playing in the championship Paul would know the best pubs opening at 8am to see the matches live, he was always the gentleman with a heart of gold, so glad to have had great times with Paul, Rest In Peace Paul, sincere condolences to Terry Margaret and sister Margaret.

I was very shocked to hear the news I was only talking to him a few weeks before hand and we organised to meet up in the summer time, me and Paul met up in cricklewood London we we had many of sessions and left London and moved up to Yorkshire working together and living together in the same house with other mayo lads, we worked all over Yorkshire then we went working with his uncle RIchard Gannon. There was never a dull moment there was always good craic and plenty of beer on the weekends and during the week to, paul always had the gift of the gab when it came to women. We moved to Belfast then on the cable TV and we worked there for a couple of months and then the troubles broke out so paul came back to england and I came to dublin then but we always stayed in contact and when he was home in mayo we always met up together and had 1 or 2 pints. Paul was a lovely man and good craic, there is so much more I could right. Fair well paul

When I was told about Paul passing away suddenly I was heartbroken about the news. In the early years in London and on Our many trips back Home to Mayo a mighty time was Always had in the company of Paul, We only got to meet on the odd occasion in the past few years but it was always a pleasure and great craic. Paul was a Gentleman in every true sense of the word. He would always have a smile on His face and bring a smile to anyone in his company... He had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone! He will be sadly missed and My Deepest sympathy to Sister Margaret His Mam and Dad and All the Family. We will toast his life in the not to distant future please God....

I was so sad then I heard that Paul had passed away. Paul came to live with the gang from Mayo in Cricklewood 1990, we had so many great laughs over the years, great nights in The galtymore. Paul was always a Mayo man at heart. He would often go to Mayo on his holidays and I'm sure if he had the choice he would have settled there. He was always great fun to be in company with, and we had a lovely New year holiday with him a few years ago at Michael's house, and of course we had a few beers!!! I always remember Dad giving Paul whiskey in his tea in the morning, and I'm sure Dad had one too. They are together now in Heaven having a great Laugh. Sleep well Paul. Xxx

Deepest sympathy to you Maggie and your family at this very sad time. Gannon was a great fella and we had the pleasure of knowing him when we all lived in London together. We had great times and memories. He came to visit us in N. Ireland and my family in Hilltown and we all loved him. He was a true gentleman and yes his hearty laugh was something else. We stayed in Sheffield with him a few times as well and more great memories. May he rest in peace. Heaven has gained a gentle soul

So sad to hear about Paul, Maggie. I have very fond memories of our shared childhood. What a saint he was for putting up with 3 girls whacking him as hard as they could on the stairs with a shoe and pulling each other downstairs, towards the glass door, on rugs. It seemed like a good idea at the time! I won't go into detail about the daffodils on the ceiling incident...or the water-related incident after your parents had just re-decorated the stairs and landing. He will be missed. Paul was a lovely man with the most infectious laugh, his laugh was often funnier than the joke. He had a heart of gold and the ability to make everybody around him smile.xxx
