Memorial page for David Taylor
A loving Father to four sons and one daughter
A magnificent and funny Grandfather
A great friend to many people in a loving community
David was a truly wonderful person, he was a joy to be around and always made people laugh, whether with his rubbish jokes or his silly antics. He was a magnificent friend to countless people he met over the years and always did his best to stay in touch with those he could.
This page is for you to share your condolences with his family, but more importantly, share the good times and great memories they have of Dave.
There will also be a chance to donate to St Lukes Hospice, who looked after David in his final months to make sure he was comfortable and pain free. St Lukes deliver a faultless service in their care and ensure that every patient and their family is as comfortable as they can be, whether they are in the comfort of their own home, or at their In Patient Centre.

Just as Brian and your Mum & Dad, you always made me feel like part of the extended Taylor family. Visiting you at Roughlee and Sheffield was always a pleasure and you letting me drive your powerful car when I'd not been driving long was typical of your kind and trusting nature..You will be missed by everyone who knew you for your dry sense of humour kindness and generosity. I am grateful your pain has passed and may you now rest peacefully .
A true friend who will be sadly missed by me and I am sure everyone who knew him. R.I.P. mate and thanks for all the laughter and fun & good times we shared together in our gang of four, it won’t be the same without you.
Dear Brother - Now you can rest without pain.
I will always remember our times living at Fishwick Road in Preston and going to St Matthews school when we were little .
Then living at Lowthorpe Road, spending many happy hours with our cousin Michael, pretending to be DJs and playing your Beatles records.
I will never forget our family days out & holidays in Blackpool especially at the boating pool and the day I fell in pushing your canoe from the side of the pool.
Rest in Peace Dave, I'll miss you.
RIP David.
Have some very found memories of trips down to Sheffield with Paul in the mid 90s, and David took me and all his lads who were very little back then, to my first ever football game at Hillsborough, think against Liverpool.
Every time myself and Paul stopped over for a weekend at his Dad's I was always made to feel like part of the family. Years later met again on Paul's stag do and then his wedding. That smiling face is how I will always remember David. Genuine salt of the earth bloke and im sure will be dearly missed by all who had the honour of knowing him.
I never had the pleasure to meet you David but I know from how much Nicky spoke of you and how much she loves you that you must be an amazing man. RIP David and my love to all that will miss you. X
