Christine Ashmore

  • 06.01.1949 - 21.01.2018

Christine Ashmore was a ‘baby-boomer’ born on 06/01/49 in Sheffield to Harry and Eva Day, the youngest of 3 children. She met Kevin who quickly became the love of her life and subsequently married him at St Mary’s Church in Ecclesfield on 27th May 1972. In 1975 and 1978 respectively, they welcomed into the world their daughter and son who were without doubt the most important part of her life, and who equally adored her.   Christine worked for Asda prior to retiring where she enjoyed life to the full, spending time with family, on holidays (especially cruises) and doting on her husband and the grand-dog Lola, interjected by frequent trips to Meadowhall to satisfy her addiction for purchasing bags and shoes.   Christine passed away suddenly at home with her husband Kevin at her side, who loved her and cared for her dearly until she took her very last breath. She also leaves behind her daughter Bianca, son and daughter-in-law David and Laura, unborn grandson Luca, brother Ken, mother-in-law Kathleen, brother and sister-in-law Chris and Kay and cat Lucy.
